Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was first gymnast to score a perfect 10 on an Olympic celebration. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics instructor who became Comaneci's coach in later years she discovered her when she was six. Comaneci participated for the first time in the 1969 national junior championships, placing 13th. The following year she became champion. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972 at a pre-Olympic Junior event for countries of the communist bloc she took home three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974, she was an the all-around junior champion. At her first competitive event at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals as well as one silver. The first female to complete a reverse double salo on the parallel bar that was uneven after winning the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she began her career in the entertainment field by performing in the form of figure skater. With her brother Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol entered the entertainment industry in her teens. She began her professional career by performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister, in the traveling entertainment shows Ice Capades. They featured dramatic skating on ice shows.
