Her debut as an actor was in the 2007 romance film Music and Lyrics starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. As well as singing, she performed songs on the movie's soundtrack. That same year, she was signed to 550 Music/NuSound Records and started creating her first album. The first concert she performed live was held in Los Angeles in 2008. Haley agreed to a contract to sign a deal with Warner Brothers Pictures for three films. In 2008, she appeared in College, The haunting Of Molly Hartley and had a minor role in Marley & Me. Bennett was also featured in Sleepwalking in Rift (a movie that was a short), The Hole (a feature length movie), Kaboom (Arcadia Lost), Deep Powder and Things People Do. Bennett is scheduled to appear in Random, The Equalizer and The White City. Her upcoming projects include those from Terrence malick and Warren Beatty.
